Sky Transfer London Case Study Overview
Sky Transfer is a client of mine who started working with us in late October 2025. For context, they're a chauffeuring business based in London, specialising in airport transfers. The owners of Sky Transfer came to me after having bad experiences with SEO agencies in the past. I promptly told them what we'd do differently, we started working together and I ran their initial reports.
The Problem
Upon my initial report, I could instantly tell that there was a MASSIVE problem. The previous SEO company had listed them in the wrong company.
Google puts a pin in the middle of your service area and assumes that you're based there. So for my client that meant Google was assuming they're based in Germany.
As you can imagine, for a UK only business, ranking for searches in Germany is fare from ideal as they were practically not showing up in London at all:
The Strategy That Fixed it
The very very first thing I did was change their business location. You're not going to rank well in your area if Google thinks your in an entirely different country
From their we needed to go through and make the necessary optimisations to the page for it to rank to rank highly in Google's algorithm.
One thing they had to their advantage was reviews, they had tens of drivers all taking on multiple clients per day. So the first change I made was distributing their review link & QR code, a steady flow of reviews helped greatly and we were able to get 31 reviews in the first 30 days.
The next thing I did was go through and systematically update small pieces of information on their Google Business Profile (that's the section that shows up on Google maps).
Google works on a trust system, the more information you give them about your business... the more they trust you.
That's why it's important to give Google detailed descriptions about your services, where you operate and how to contact you.
Combining all of this together differentiates you in Google's eyes, they stop looking at you like a new potentially risky start-up and like a fully established, trustworthy business.
The Results
After just over 30 days of working with us, Sky Transfer London is now ranking on the first page for the majority of west london (anywhere above spot 15 is the first page).
This resulted in an extra 7 people calling his business in October and November, as well as 6 people contacting them via whatsapp
Now of course, there's a lot we can do from here to start expanding this area to 15 miles and then 20 miles and we're doing that right now, so look out for an upcoming blog about the topic.
